In Celebration of International Women’s Day: Get to Know Robin Lorenzen

Last but most certainly not least – we spotlight Robin Lorenzen, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer.
What was your journey that led you to join Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union?
In 2018 I left a company and an industry where I spent 28 years. I knew that in my next role I wanted to work for an organization where I could make a difference within the company and the community. The opportunity at Jeanne D’Arc was presented to me and five years later I couldn’t be happier. I didn’t know a lot about credit unions before I joined Jeanne D’Arc, but the mission of people helping people is a personal side of finance that most people aren’t aware of. Now it’s my job to increase that awareness.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Don’t settle, take risks, and find the work/life balance.
What are the most valuable lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
I don’t think we ever stop learning, but I’d say have confidence in what you have to contribute to a conversation, a company, or a community. And, don’t be afraid to admit what you don’t know as long as you’re willing to learn.
Have you drawn professional inspiration from other women? Tell us about someone personally or professionally who has inspired you.
Over the years I have had the privilege to work alongside so many inspiring women at all levels. I think I’ve learned from all of them and taken the characteristics I admired most from each of them to form my own path. These are the women I still turn to for professional advice, connections, friendships, and always a few laughs.
